Hope summer has treated you well as we engage the octagonal challenges of life.
As the world focuses on developing AI as the hottest thing for the future, 61 should take pride in the recent Hagerman Lecture this past April. The Ethics Endowment we supported has grown to over $ 2.5 Million enabling us to bring Kevin Roose to campus from his home in the Bay area addressing AI. He covers this hot field for the New York Times. Attendees were brought up to date on the current usages as well as future implications.
Throughout the academic year Lehigh offers excellent opportunities to see people of world interest come to campus – we will try to keep you informed ahead of these.
Fall means football – most of our 2024 Patriot League Champions are returning. Opening game will see a revenge-seeking Richmond team who were shocked by us in the NCAA playoffs last November. Mark October 4 on your football calendar. Ken Weaver, our class correspondent and other vintage Theta Delts+ will return for the Yale game with a tailgate at the football pavilion at Goodman Stadium. Let’s add more of us to the fun.
There’s lots more to come- our (gulp) 65 th reunion is coming up. Our 611 endowment needs watering. The Ethics Endowment is flourishing. Lehigh continues to achieve prominence in producing very successful alumni.
