Lehigh University
Class of 1961
Fall at Lehigh is Upon Us
You know the pigskin’s warming up at Goodman, the Rally welcoming the class of 2030 (Yeah- 2030- can you believe it?) is history and there”s a lot for us to enjoy at South Mountain. Pay attention, we’re still moving forward.
First- a great big salute to Bob Colonna. Thanks to many of our classmates for answering Bob’s challenge- his match brought us close to endowing the 611 Merit Scholarship but Bob is not to be stopped. He topped off his match to bring us to permanent Endowment. To all, thanks, especially to the Class of 2011- take this ball and run with it so the Lehigh spirit grows into the future.
Shortly, we will be meeting with Dr. Mike Gusmano about plans for the Ethics Endowment for the coming academic year including the all- important Hagerman Lecture next spring. I expect we will have a very relevant topic and facilitator and will keep you informed in advance. Just might be a. chance to gather the night before then follow the facilitator’s visit a little during the day prior to the lecture.
And, how about the upcoming start of Compelling Perspectives- former President George W. Bush will be President Joe Helble’s Guest on October 29. Check the info below and apply on September 2 if you want to be there. These events are most enjoyable and informative.
